Born and bred on the Northern Beaches, Adam comes from a family deeply committed to community and service across the region. He played junior and senior rugby union with The Forest Rugby Club and Manly Marlins and learned to sail on Narrabeen Lake.

A Leader in Education with Deep Community Roots and a Commitment to Equity

With over 30 years of experience in both public and international education sectors, Adam brings extensive expertise in implementing improvements to increase organizational and educational effectiveness across a variety of schools and complex education environments. He has held numerous educational leadership roles, including serving the NSW Department of Education as Principal of Narrabeen North Public School and as Principal in two schools for students with complex behavioural needs. At the State level, he contributed significantly as a Senior Education Officer with the Student Welfare Directorate.


He is deeply committed to promoting equity in education and ensuring access to comprehensive family support services. Adams’ dedication to these principles has been evident throughout his career, particularly in his efforts to support students with diverse needs and backgrounds.


In 2008, Adam was recruited by the Abu Dhabi Education Council in the Middle East, where he was responsible for the strategic planning and operational oversight of special education and student support services. Returning to the Northern Beaches in 2016, Adam served as the Director of Education Services with a NSW NGO, leading program and strategic development to create partnerships with government and non-government agencies for children and young people in out-of-home care.


In 2018, Adam was recruited by the English Schools Foundation, Hong Kong’s largest English international school organization and a world-leading International Baccalaureate school system, to the position of Director of Education. In 2020, he returned with his family to the Northern Beaches amid the pandemic. During this time, he reignited his passion for the classroom, working at Narrabeen Sports High School as a Physical Education Teacher before briefly serving as Deputy Principal for the Narrabeen Elanora Student & Teacher collaboration.


Shortly thereafter, Adam was appointed Principal of Narrabeen North Public School, where he is currently overseeing the delivery of a major school facilities upgrade. Additionally, Adam serves as the President of the Forestville War Memorial Playing Fields Committee, continuing his lifelong dedication to community service.


His career reflects a steadfast commitment to enhancing educational equity, fostering community partnerships, and ensuring that all students and families have access to the support services they need to thrive.
