"The Northern Beaches have been proudly independent since 9 September 2017.
And it is my intention it will stay that way!"

Best community bus stop on the beaches.

Immediate areas of focus:

  • Finding programs to help our "tradie" community as we do small business.

  • Supporting the emergency services.

  • Giving ordinary members of the community a true voice in council.

Jody Williams has been involved in the community since he first returned to the area in 2009.

He has been a member of the P&C’s of both Forestville public and Killarney Heights High School, the Cub Scout leader at 1st Forestville Scouts and held various positions during his son’s time at Forest Junior Rugby.

He's been a member of the Warringah-Pittwater SES for the last 4 ½ years and has achieved the qualifications of Team Leader and Level One Incident Controller.

Jody has worked in film, theatre, television, exhibitions and displays as a set builder and prop maker, and also worked as a carpenter on building sites around Sydney.

Jody understands the life of a “Tradie” and feels more needs to be done to support those who are the backbone of our society. He's currently a Kitchen designer for Belrose Bunnings.

In 2017, Jody became involved in YNBIT, and then with the Zali Steggall campaign, handing out pamphlets at Forestville shops. From such mild beginnings he ended up as a Booth Captain, Zali’s Forest Hub Leader, Michael Reagan's Volunteer Coordinator and now your #2 candidate for the Frenchs Forest Ward, supporting Sue Heins.

Jody is 21 years sober and has extensive experience helping others to achieve sobriety. He understands in a deeply personal way how the disease of addiction manifests in our community. As a Councillor he wants to be part of finding more solutions and support for people with addictions.

Jody is the Great great grandson of Frederick Passau the Mayor of Manly from 1897-99. In running for council, he is continuing his family tradition of service to the people of the Northern Beaches.
